We’ve Got Options

Let me start by saying that the SubscribeStar page isn’t going anywhere. If you’re happy over on SS then nothing is changing for you. I’ll always be grateful to them for giving us a place to land, but I know it’s not always the easiest site to access and use.

Those of you who’ve been around for a while know that we’ve been exclusively on SubscribeStar since the Patreon debacle in 2025, so I’m happy to report that there’s finally another option. I set up a Ream Stories page, as it looks like that site addresses a lot of the common complaints I heard about SubscribeStar. The UI is pretty intuitive and user friendly, the stories present like they do on an e-reader, and you can even set it up like an app on your phone. There’s a “community” tab so we can still do the polls for interactive stories, and people are still able to leave comments.

From what I’ve seen so far, the only real drawback appears to be the limited tagging function for each individual chapter, though I’m able to label them at the start. And I had to up the basic tier to $3 from $2 since $2.99 was the minimum amount I could charge. Otherwise it will all look very familiar. I actually like how they group things into “books” over there, so it’s not all just thrown into an endless feed. Weekly stories go into the “Moist Musings” collection, archive stories go into “The Vault”, vignettes go into “Vignettes”, and then there’s a dedicated “Capes” volume that can change as we move on to new interactive stories. Looking ahead, I like the idea of setting up dedicated volumes for dedicated themes, like shrinking, muscle growth, etc. If there’s enough interest, that’s a road we could explore.

Every site is going to have its pros and cons, and given how the smutty winds can shift at a moment’s notice this could all change again, but I’m relieved to finally be able to at least give readers a choice. I’m also encouraged by the fact that the site is specifically for written works, so hopefully we won’t be caught up in sweeping changes related to photos and art. They have some pretty intense content warning options as well, which makes me think they aren’t afraid of what they host.

Regardless of where you do it, thank you so much for taking the time to read these weird little stories and for the continued support!
